Distinct Contributions of Educational Researchers in VETNET

On August 23 the opening session of VETNET at the ECER conference in Dublin took place where I gave a presentation on Distinct Contributions of Educational Researchers in VETNET. The PPT of this presentation can be downloaded from here. Share your reactions at martin.mulder@wur.nl. Enjoy.

There are various disclaimers which need to be mentioned before the presentation is used. First: there have been around 1,500 contributions to VETNET during 1996-2015. Who determines when a contribution is distinct? That could be done based on a set of objective criteria, with which all these contributions could be assessed. But who has the time to do that these days? Second: Who are educational researchers in VETNET? Incidental contributors? Regular contributors? Continuous contributors? Do the contributions count they made within or also outside VETNET? Only at conferences, during presentations, or also behind the screens? Third: how can contributions in science and society be weighed? What is their relative importance?

So, basically what I am saying is that I will give a personal impression based on the programmes of VETNET during the years 1996-2015, with an emphasis on the second decade.
